I wish him a happy 78th birthday.” Adeboye was born in Ile-Ife, Osun state on March 2, 1942, and completed his first degree in Mathematics in 1967 from Obafemi Awolowo University. He was ordained a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1977 and became general overseer of the church in 1981.
